PROJECTS
SEWING MACHINES
We got four hand-operated sewing machines in autumn 2013. They do not require electricity.
COMPUTERS
Girls got also two computers. They learn computer skills two times a week among other school work.
RECYCLING
Agran koululaiset collect, sell, and recycle furniture, clothes, devices and other things to the school.
WORLD VILLAGE FESTIVAL
We have participated in the World Village Festival since 2011.
INDIA WEDDING COFFEE
We made a celebration coffee for Agran Koululaiset in Kerala, India. It's a blend of Robusta, with added chicory powder.
OBTAINING DESKS
We prefer local workers in all of our purchases. Desks were also custom made by our instructions.
SCHOOL FOOD
Offering food at school is rarity in India. We have a menu designed for the school. Bhuri Gautam, a disabled daughter of the neighbor, is getting us the milk.
TOILET HYGIENE
In India it's quite a challenge to stay clean when going to the toilet. On the roof terrace of our school we have a traditional Indian porcelain toilet. We teach the kids with toilet hygiene.
OPENING THE SCHOOL
Chaudhary Charity School opened its doors on July 5th, 2010.
