Agra - The city next to Taj Mahal

Agra is located by the Yamuna River in North Indian, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is India's 19.th biggest city, and has about 2 million inhabitants. Agra is most famous for its popular tourist attraction, Taj Mahal. It was built during the Mughal Empire, and it's considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Agra was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1526 to 1658.

 

Climate

 

Agra has an oceanic climate. Summer lasts from March to September, and temperatures can rise up to 48,5 degrees Celsius. Monsoon seasons are from July to September. Winter lasts from November to February, and is considered as the best season for tourists.
